Ducati continued to take steps towards preparing for the next MXGP season and has now introduced Mattia Guadagnini, ex-Husqvarna – who thus takes a new direction in his career, as well as Jeremy Seewer. Both will compete with the new Ducati Desmo450 MX, in partnership with the Maddii Racing Team.
Guadagnini, 22, was the 125cc World and European Champion in 2019. He made his MX2 debut in 2021, where he finished 4th in the championship and won three races. In 2022, he moved up to MXGP, becoming one of the main Italian promises in the sport.
The Desmo450 MX marks Ducati’s entry into motocross, with plans to expand its off-road lineup with 250cc and 450cc models in the coming years.
As is the case in other motorcycling categories, the Italian manufacturer will compete against other well-known opponents, such as Honda, KTM, Yamaha, Kawasaki, among others.
